- We will endeavour to create and maintain partnerships with smaller local companies, where possible, rather than larger or multinational ones. In this way we endeavour to ensure that funds for ground arrangements stay within the country
- We will encourage local community participation in tourist projects
- We support local community based projects and small scale businesses and try and ensure that they secure a fair share of the benefits that carefully managed tourism can reap
- We suggest that you purchase local goods rather than imported products. Be adventurous and dine in local restaurants and cafes. This helps to support the local economy rather than increasing leakage to the other counties through international chains.
- We encourage you to plan for tipping in your holiday budget. If you receive good service please make your donation either in a central tipping box or at the advice of your provider to ensure that people behind the scenes will also benefit. We will inform of the local customs with regards tipping and a reasonable amount for services
Environmental Responsibility
- We will endeavour at all times to promote suppliers that provide good quality environmental and culturally sensitive activities and aim to exclude suppliers who do not share this policy
- We provide information to minimise environmental impact including water conservation, litter disposal and the responsibilities of smokers and fire risks and the careless disposal of cigarettes stubs to keep the beauty of the land for all
- We give information of local community projects to encourage funding and to enable the local community to improve their standard of living
- We believe that we have an environmental responsibility both here and overseas and recycle all our office waste where possible. We encourage the use of electronic methods to promote our company to avoid paper waste. Where possible we utilise energy saving devices e.g. lightbulbs
Social Responsibility
- We do not employ UK tour leaders to guide visitors around Africa as we believe that local guides provide insights in a culturally sensitive manner
- We endeavour to provide our travellers with detailed information of destinations, culture, traditions, local economy and suggest local community projects to support usually in the form of a guidebook
- We aim to make our destinations available to all and include in our portfolio operators with specialist facilities for the less abled traveller
