About Tongabezi Lodge
Tongabezi is a luxurious and exclusive lodge, on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river and just upstream from Victoria Falls. There is accommodation for 18 guests, and each luxury cottage or house has been individually designed, using natural and local materials.
Have a champagne lunch on Livingstone Island. Take a fully catered canoe safari. Or just relax, and have your personal butler bring you a cocktail.
A more exclusive and extremely romantic option is the Sanpan dinner. This is the candlelit dinner with a difference - set on a floating table and deck on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi. After enjoying a spectacular African sunset, dinner is paddled out to your table by canoe. An unforgettable experience!

- There is a staff village attached to the lodge where members of staff may bring their families to live - ensuring that families can stay together.
- The lodge also runs the Tongabezi Trust School for local children and children of the staff. Any clients of Close Encounters who stay at Tongabezi will have the opportunity to view the school and to make a donation or sponsor a child.
