The camp caters for just eight guests in four well-appointed rooms built of reed and canvas, which offer uninterrupted views of the spectacular wildlife that frequents the plain in front of the camp. The dining and bar area lie under the canopy of majestic shade trees and dinner is usually served under the stars.

Built on a small island, Shumba Bush Camp is Kafue 's most exclusive camp. Shumba offers six guest tents, which are spacious, tastefully decorated and have full en-suite facilities. The main building has a bar, lounging area and single dinner table to seat everyone together. An open deck in front of the building has a sunken seating area with fireplace and an infinity pool in which guests can immerse themselves in the complete safari experience.
